Wasabi's owner had died after having her for 6 years, and SCR took her in. It took a while to find this heartbroken dog a home, probably because her face was white from age and stress. She was always the BEST girl at adoption events and was kind and such a gentle soul. Finally she was adopted and her tail was wagging more and she was happy again in her life. Well, now she is back with us. Again, the dog did nothing wrong...she was dealt a bad hand again in her life. The new owners cant afford to care for her. Now she has to deal with the heartbreak of losing her second family in her 7 years on this earth. Won't you please give her a chance? She is great with all other animals and is just a good dog!
Lucky is a 2.5 yr old female pit bull mix. She was found tied to a tree, filthy and emaciated, at just 8 months old. She spent the last 2 years in a cage, 24 hours a day in a New York kennel, where she never ever had the chance to run around and play. Finally, a volunteer decided it was time to bring her to Second Chance to find a home. Recently, 2 other dogs that were in the same situation there came here and found homes of their own as well. She is such a good girl, so happy and loving. She adores kids and is housebroken. She deserves a place to call home after all this time waiting!
